چکیده
The finite-size scaling behaviour for percolation and conduction is studied in two-dimensional triangular-shaped random resistor networks at the percolation threshold. The numerical simulations are performed using an efficient star-triangle algorithm. The percolation exponents, linked to the critical behaviour at corners, are in good agreement with the conformal results. The conductivity exponent, t ′ = ζ/ν, is found to be independent of the shape of the system. Its value is very close to recent estimates for the surface and bulk conductivity exponents.

We present the metal insulator transition study of a quantum site percolation model on simple cubic lattice. Transfer matrix method is used to calculate transport properties Landauer conductance for the binary distribution of energies. We calculate the mobility edge in disorder (ratio of insulating sites) energy plane in detail and we find the extremal critical disorder somewhat closer to the c...

We investigate the anisotropic limit of the bond-percolation model in d dimensions, which is equivalent to a (d-1) -dimensional quantum q-->1 Potts model. We formulate an efficient Monte Carlo method for this model. Its application shows that the anisotropic model fits well with the percolation universality class in d dimensions. For three-dimensional rectangular geometry, we determine the crit...

The low temperature (0.5–55 K) conduction of semicontinuous gold film vacuum deposited at T ≈ 50 K is studied. The film is near the percolation threshold (thickness 3.25 nm). Its resistance is extremely sensitive to the applied voltage U . At low enough U the film behaves as an insulator (two-dimensional granular metal). In this state the dependences R(T ) ∝ exp(1/T ) (for T ≤ 20 K) and R(U) ∝ ...
متن کاملDensification-induced conductivity percolation in high-porosity pharmaceutical microcrystalline cellulose compacts
The percolation theory is established as a useful tool in the field of pharmaceutical materials science. It is shown that percolation theory, developed for analyzing insulator–conductor transitions, can be applied to describe imperfect dc conduction in pharmaceutical microcrystalline cellulose during densification. The system, in fact, exactly reproduces the values of the percolation threshold ...
